Juice

Early in 2012 we decided to give this juicing thing a try, so we bought an Omega J8006 Masticating Juicer, and we love it.

Breakfast Juice

We try to have some citrus juice for breakfast every morning:

  • 1 pineapple
  • 4-6 oranges

Depending on what’s available, we’ll sometimes add:

  • 1-2 mangoes

For a thicker, yummier juice, toss a banana or two in a blender, and add a little juice to lubricate the blending, and mix it back in with the juice.

For a little extra “green”, we’ll blend in a teaspoon of spirulina powder per person right before serving.  I wouldn’t recommend mixing spirulina in ahead of time — it will thicken the juice and almost turn it into pudding.
